Friend: [link removed] Tell Congress to

Expand the Supreme Court

to Stop MAGA Judges’ Relentless Power Grab After the recent decisions in Trump v. United States, Ohio v. EPA, and Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, grassroots activists around the country are calling for action to stop the
MAGA Justices’ power grab on behalf of far-right special interests, which will
have devastating consequences for our environment and health.

Congress has the authority to hold the Supreme Court accountable and to set the
number of Justices on the Court. It’s past time for lawmakers to expand and rebalance the Court — help us deliver 10,000 signatures calling for immediate action. [link removed] [link removed] Friend — the MAGA Justices on the captured Supreme Court just put Donald
Trump above the law and grabbed even more power to serve special interests at
the expense of Americans’ right to breathe clean air, to drink clean water, to
exercise a truly equal right to vote, and to make fundamental reproductive
health decisions. This week, shockingly the MAGA Supreme Court granted immunity in Trump vs. the United Statesand put our very democracy at risk because for democracy to endure, no one –
especially not the president – can be above the law. In Ohio v. EPA and Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, they made it even harder for scientists and experts at agencies like the EPA
to protect the air we breathe and the water we drink — and even easier for
billionaires and corporate interests like Big Oil to get their way. Billionaires
and corporations have showered MAGA Justices on the Supreme Court with luxury
gifts and travel, and oil billionaire Charles Koch even backed some of the
lawyers who brought these anti-environment cases. Once again, those investments
paid off. Friend — for the sake of our communities, our democracy and our planet,
it’s past time to expand and rebalance the Supreme Court. Sign our petition to Congress right now. It only takes a moment to help us reach our 10,000 signature goal >> [link removed] Adding seats to the Supreme Court would allow the president to appoint new
justices who will work for the people, not deep-pocketed polluters and MAGA
extremists. Following the news, there has been a groundswell of grassroots
activism around the country — an outcry for change on the Court. Today, we’re calling on all LCV members to submit a message to their lawmakers in
Congress in support of the Judiciary Act to expand and rebalance the Supreme
Court. We need to raise pressure for action now, before the MAGA Justices cause even
more damage to our health, our freedoms, and our planet. Tell Congress: Pass the Judiciary Act to expand the Supreme Court. You have the authority. It’s past time to act. We’re aiming to submit 10,000 letters before the end of the month. [link removed] Protections for our environment, our reproductive rights, our equality, and our
democracy are only as strong as the judges who uphold them. We have to stand up
for our rights to breathe clean air and drink clean water, have our votes
counted, make our own health decisions, and more. Thank you for speaking out today, Friend. We’ll be in touch soon with
more updates on our campaigns. Onward,  Doug Lindner
