Indivisibles,

Ever since an Alabama court ruling exposed the threat Republicans pose to IVF, GOP leaders have been tripping over themselves to neutralize the politically disastrous issue. Trump, JD Vance, and Senate Republicans have repeatedly assured voters that -- despite their past voting records -- they love IVF! Heck, they’ll make it free!

Well, yesterday Chuck Schumer called their bluff by putting the Right to IVF Act up for a vote. And wouldn’t you know it, almost every single Republican voted against protecting fertility treatments backed by 86% of Americans.1

That includes Republicans up for re-election in competitive states like Ted Cruz, Rick Scott, and Deb Fischer. And JD Vance didn’t even care to show up for the vote (though he voted against this same bill back in June).

This shouldn’t surprise anyone, really. Yesterday’s vote lines up perfectly with Republicans’ record of attacking our reproductive rights:

They voted against protecting access to contraception.2

They blocked a bill that would protect the freedom to travel across state lines for those seeking reproductive care.3

They voted against codifying abortion rights.4

And yesterday was the second time Republicans voted against protecting IVF.

The only reason there’s any confusion about the threat Republicans pose to our rights is because they are willing to shamelessly lie to voters. They do it in their speeches, in their interviews, and their TV ads. But they can’t run from their own record. Between now and Election Day, we’ll make sure every single voter sees through the MAGA GOP’s lies and understands the threat Trump and the GOP pose to reproductive rights.

Indivisibles are already knocking on doors, phonebanking, writing postcards and letters, and texting voters in the states that will decide control of the White House, House, and Senate. If you want to make sure Republicans are held accountable for attacking our rights, then pitch in today and help us defeat them in November.

To be clear, Republicans aren’t just voting against protecting our freedoms -- they’re laying the groundwork to strip our rights away if they win in November. We wouldn’t be here if Trump hadn’t stacked the Supreme Court with MAGA extremists. It was his judges who overturned Roe v Wade. But that was just the beginning.

Republicans already have a bill in the works -- the Life at Conception Act -- that would declare legal personhood at the moment of fertilization, functionally banning abortion nationwide and ending IVF as we know it. And Project 2025 lays out a blueprint for how Trump could ban abortion nationwide -- even without a Republican Congress passing new legislation.

So while Republicans pay lip service to protecting IVF, we know the truth: The only way to protect our rights is to beat them at the ballot box. We’re working to do just that. But if we want to scale up our GOTV campaign in the states and districts that will decide this election, we’re going to need the support of our grassroots donors.

Click here to make a donation, help us get the word out to voters about the stakes of this election, and fuel the grassroots organizing that will win a Democratic trifecta.
