John, the Virtual Bus Tour was a huge success last night, with people from all across the country coming together to demand real solutions to the care crisis!
It was the last stop on the tour, and in every community we visited, one powerful message echoed throughout: Many of our elected officials simply don’t understand just how crippling care costs have become for families.
That’s why we’re teaming up with our partners at Care Can’t Wait to gather real stories, the hard facts, and the receipts that show the true cost of care for families like yours. Can you share how much care is costing you and your family, John? --> [[link removed]]
Whether it’s the high price of daycare, lost wages due to lack of paid leave, or the mounting costs of home care for a loved one, we want the receipts so we can put the cold reality of care costs into the spotlight.

At last night’s final stop of the tour, we were honored to have comedian & writer Cristela Alonzo, actor and activist Steve Way (you might know him from Hulu’s Ramy ), attorney and influencer Qasim Rashid, and our very own President Ai-jen Poo. Together, they led powerful discussions about the real, human impact of our broken care system.
Now, it’s time to pair these personal stories with the real numbers . Every dollar each of our families spends on care collectively adds up to millions and millions, and we need to make sure our elected officials understand the urgency of the situation.
Your voice is critical, John. Fill out the form on the Care Can’t Wait website and help us create a powerful picture of the true costs of care:

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.
Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
