Subject: Friend–can you join our call on the Supreme Court on September 19th?
Dear Friend,
If you are anything like me, over the past year you have been growing increasingly concerned about the decisions the U.S. Supreme Court has been making. Impacting everything from reproductive health care to gun safety laws to voting rights, the judiciary branch of government has a huge role to play in the lives of our families, our rights, and our country. But how is this connected to the 2024 election and YOU??
We know following the ins and outs of the courts can get confusing at times but the courts are so important—and definitely matter in the 2024 election—so we are putting a call together for you and all your friends to learn about:
-How U.S. Supreme Court justices get appointed
-An overview of major Court decisions that happened this year and what we expect in terms of the future of the Court
-What the 2024 election has to do with the Supreme Court
After you RSVP, make sure to forward this to your friends and family so they can join the call as well. It’s important that we spread the word so all voters can be informed on how important the Supreme Court and this election is to our reproductive rights, health care, schools, environment, jobs, civil rights, voting rights, and to our families and country!
Thank you,
Elyssa, Catalina, Selina, Kristin, Donna, Ruth, Gloria, Sue Anne, Nate, and the entire MomsRising.org & MamásConPoder Team
