Did you hear about the #HalfMyDAF Challenge? This initiative encourages donor-advised fund owners to distribute half the funds in their DAF to support causes they care about deeply. Donors commit DAF giving, and in turn eligible recipient organizations can potentially receive a matching gift from #HalfMyDAF !
Last match cycle, participating donors to OpenSecrets helped us receive a $2,500 matching gift in the first round! By committing to allocate half of your DAF by September 27, 2024, you can help increase our chances of receiving a matching gift up to $25,000!
How to Participate:

Steps to Maximize Your Impact:
Make a gift to OpenSecrets from your donor-advised fund. Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and BNY Mellon make it easy through DAF Direct. If you have another DAF, contact them directly.
Designate half the funds in your DAF for specific charities, then fill out the form to potentially double your impact with bonus funds!
If giving half the funds in your DAF isn’t feasible, increasing your distribution from previous years would be incredibly beneficial.
No DAF? No Problem!
