New research from EWG reveals adults could be ingesting up to 12 plastic shopping bags’ worth of tiny plastic particles each year!

These micro and nanoplastics are everywhere. They’re in the food we eat, the water we drink, and shockingly, even inside our bodies.

Plastic contamination is unavoidable – these particles are shed from everyday items like plastic containers, water bottles and cutting boards, infiltrating every corner of our lives. So every day, we all unknowingly consume these tiny bits of plastic – and they never fully break down.

This isn’t just about pollution–it’s about our health. Long-term exposure to plastic particles can lead to serious health issues, including respiratory problems, hormone disruption, and even an increased risk of cancer. Yet, little has been done to address this growing crisis.
