However, there are also crucial down-ballot races across key swing states. Their importance cannot be overstated. Arizona, Texas, Georgia, and Florida’s October 7th voter registration deadline is approaching rapidly, so we wanted to give you a run-down of the down-ballot races in these states.

Here’s what’s happening:

🏜️ Arizona 🏜️

Voter registration goal: 65,000

Democrat Ruben Gallego is running for Arizona’s open senate seat against Kari Lake, who still denies she lost her 2022 bid for Arizona Governor. Reproductive rights will also be on the ballot this November, with Arizonians deciding if they will enshrine abortion in their constitution.

🤠 Texas 🤠

Voter registration goal: 220,000

Democrat Colin Allred is running against incumbent MAGA extremist Ted Cruz, who believes abortion should be banned in all cases, with no exception for rape or incest. Our voter registration goal in the state is roughly the same amount of voters as Cruz's 2018 win margin, which means we have an opportunity to help Democrats gain a Senate seat.

🍑 Georgia 🍑

Voter registration goal: 40,000

While there are no senate or governor races in Georgia in 2024, there are still incredibly important down-ballot races happening. Georgia’s 14 House seats are up for reelection, and there are 30 city council races, 5 mayoral races, and 242 school board races.

🌴 Florida 🌴

Voter registration goal: 60,000

Debbie Mucarsel-Powell is challenging incumbent Rick Scott for Florida’s senate seat. Recent polls have showed Florida within the margin of error — which means we have an opportunity to flip the state blue if we mobilize enough Latino voters.

To top it all off — there are dozens of House races across these key states. The fight for control of the House will be incredibly close, so every race is instrumental in determining who will win this November. 

Fundraising at this point in the cycle is critical. We need to reach the voter registration goals we set across our key states to support candidates down-ballot, and we can’t do this without your help.
