### **The Anxiety of a Reverse Seat on a Plane**
One woman shared a TikTok video about the anxiety she faced while on a commercial flight. She talked about how her seat was reversed - rather than it facing forward like the other seats, hers faced out to the rest of the plane.
Jess Smith’s video, which has now gotten over 15 million views, exclaimed, “When you book row 1 as a treat, it turns into you facing the entire plane," Smith wrote on her video, while the caption read, "Never going to recover."
Zach Griff, the senior aviation writer for The Points Guy commented “"In the U.S., there are two airlines that offer rear-facing seats: American and United. These rear-facing seats are only on a subset of the wide-body (twin-aisle) fleet in business class.”
Smith did not disclose what airline she was on.
While some on TikTok commented that they’d face significant anxiety or even ask to get off the plane, others said that they do their research before booking a seat. Perhaps that’s what will be needed now to avoid such an awkward flight in the future.
