David Muir’s “World News Tonight” Ratings Down 12 Percent Following Debate
Fox News: ABC’s “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir may have driven away some viewers after the Disney-owned network irked conservatives during last week’s presidential debate… Muir’s “World News Tonight” averaged 6.7 million viewers on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the three episodes following the debate, after averaging 7.6 million in 2024 leading up to the debate. The 12% drop in viewers for “World News Tonight” is more significant than slight declines “CBS Evening News” and “NBC Nightly News” saw when comparing the three episodes following ABC’s debate to the year-to-date totals, although Muir’s newscast remained the No. 1 broadcast evening newscast ( Fox News). Charlie Kirk: ABC’s David Muir says that the controversy surrounding his historically awful moderation of the presidential debate is “just noise.” Well his ratings are DOWN 12% following the debate. Less people are listening to his nightly noise now. Good ( X)!

Journalist Chris Cuomo Apologizes to Trump After Second Failed Assassination Attempt
Daily Wire: Journalist Chris Cuomo revealed Monday that he called former President Donald Trump after the second assassination attempt against him, saying he is “ashamed” of the “unacceptable” reaction from the media. The former CNN host, who anchored a show at the network for eight years until 2021, made the remarks on his primetime NewsNation show Monday night. “The reaction is unacceptable,” Cuomo said. “Media and political players have gotten away with playing down what should be a cause for panic” ( Daily Wire). Chris Cuomo: We all know what is wrong with our politics and us as a people. How do we get to a better place? I don’t know what sets us right but I know damn well what is wrong. Thoughts ( X)?

Leftists Essentially Blame Trump for Second Assassination Attempt
Townhall: This is what some at The Washington Post thought was a good take in the wake of the second assassination attempt on Donald Trump. The former president dodged a bullet—literally—while golfing at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, over the weekend. Ryan Wesley Routh was hiding in a shrubbery along the course for 12 hours before Secret Service agents discovered his location while doing a routine security sweep ahead of the president and uprooted his evil plan. The course was not fully cleared before Trump’s arrival, and there are questions regarding whether a drone should have been used again. Yet, the media knows the real culprit of this story is Donald J. Trump. The victim-blaming has been insufferable ( Townhall). Washington Post Reporter Carol Leonnig: Secret Service showed a new president Donald Trump how photographers could shoot long-range pictures of him while he golfed at his Va. club — and warned an assassin could kill him the same way. But Trump has insisted that his clubs were safe and kept playing. How Trump’s golf habit at his semi-public courses has put his life at risk for many years ( X). Libs of TikTok: Just 2 days after a Biden/Harris supporter tried kiIIing President Trump, KJP is calling Trump a threat to Democracy. This is intentional ( X).

Whoopi Goldberg Claims Democrats Are Completely Innocent, Only Republicans Are Violent
Daily Caller: “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg claimed on Tuesday that dangerous rhetoric is only a problem on the political right following the second assassination attempt on Republican nominee Donald Trump. The Secret Service arrested 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh on Sunday after he allegedly pointed an AK-47-style weapon at the former president at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. Two days later, Goldberg argued dangerous political rhetoric is not a “both sides” issue but rather one that the political right often engages in ( Daily Caller). Proud Elephant: Whoopi Goldberg claims the left is completely innocent, and only those on the right are spewing dangerous rhetoric that could incite violence ( X).

2,700 Hezbollah Terrorists Injured in Sneak Attack
2,700 people were injured. Katie Pavlich: Thousands of Hezbollah terrorists, ranging from low level soldiers to leadership, have been severely injured after their pagers blew up Tuesday. Messages were received on the devices and seven seconds later, they exploded. Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon was reportedly injured, raising questions about why the ambassador would be carrying a Hezbollah pager ( Townhall). Wall Street Journal: Many of the affected pagers were from a new shipment that the group received in recent days, people familiar with the matter said. A Hezbollah official said many fighters had such devices, speculating that malware might have caused the devices to explode. The official said some people felt the pagers heat up and disposed of them before they burst. Hezbollah said a number of pagers carried by its members exploded simultaneously at 3:30 p.m. local time. It couldn’t immediately be determined what caused the blasts, which were spread out across the country in several areas where Hezbollah has a heavy presence. Hezbollah and the Lebanese government blamed Israel for the attack. Both said civilians were killed, and Hezbollah threatened to retaliate ( Wall Street Journal). Reporter Yashar Ali: Hundreds of members of Hezbollah were seriously wounded on Tuesday when the pagers they use to communicate exploded. Here is one video of one of the pager explosions ( X).

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) Claims DHS is Stonewalling Investigation Into Trump Assassination Attempt
Just the News: Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI) under the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC), threatened to use “subpoena power” to compel the Biden-Harris administration’s Department of Homeland Security to cooperate with their requests for the probe of the assassination attempts on former President Trump. Blumenthal said on Monday that DHS has been “stonewalling” his subcommittee, describing the department as “almost derelict in its duty by resisting our requests for documents, evidence and information that are necessary to investigate.” He went further, saying he is “angry” with the department’s handling of his subcommittee’s requests ( Just the News). Charlie Kirk: Last week, Senator Blumenthal warned that the American people are going to be “shocked, astonished, and appalled” by the forthcoming report on the Butler, PA assassination attempt. What is going on here ( X)?

Putin Moves to Expand Military to Second Largest Active Army in the World
National Review: Vladimir Putin on Monday ordered the Russian military to expand to 1.5 million active troops, which would make it the second largest army in the world behind China. The decree would increase the number of active troops by 180,000, effective December 1, according to a report by Reuters. With the increase, Russia’s would have 2.38 million total military personnel. This marks the third and largest official expansion of Russia’s military since it invaded Ukraine in February 2022. Putin ordered increases of 137,000 and 170,000 active soldiers in August 2022 and December 2023, respectively. By the end of this year, Russia will surpass the U.S. and India in terms of military size and be second only to China. Beijing has over 2 million active servicemen ( National Review). Reuters: Although Russia has a population more than three times larger than Ukraine’s and has been successfully recruiting volunteers on lucrative contracts to fight in Ukraine, it has – like Kyiv’s forces – been sustaining heavy battlefield losses, and there is no sign of the war ending anytime soon. Both sides say the exact size of their losses is a military secret ( Reuters).

Hillary Clinton States There Must Be Criminal Charges Against Those Who Spread Misinformation
Daily Caller: Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Monday night that Americans spreading Russian disinformation should be civilly and criminally charged. Clinton said there are some Americans who have “engaged” in spreading Russian misinformation and as a result must be held legally accountable during a segment on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show.” She accused an unspecified number of congressional Republicans of allegedly “parroting Russian talking points” ( Daily Caller). End Wokeness: Hillary Clinton suggests jailing Americans for posting “misinformation.” “There needs to be deterrence” ( X).

Cornell University Professor Who Celebrated Hamas’ October 7 Attack Returns to Teaching
New York Post: The radical Cornell University prof who lauded the Hamas terror attack on Israel as “exhilarating” and “energizing” dodged any punishment and is now back teaching at the upstate Ivy League school. Shamed history Professor Russell Rickford was out for the past year on “voluntary leave” after widespread public outcry when he was recorded at an off-campus anti-Israel rally cheering Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, invasion that slaughtered 1,200 Israelis. ““It was exhilarating, it was energizing…. I was exhilarated,” Rickford said at the time — before apologizing for applauding the mass murder of innocent civilians ( New York Post). Canary Mission: Unreal. Cornell Prof Russell Rickford, who said he was “exhilarated” by Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre, is back teaching. Cornell said they took no disciplinary action ag Rickford (who had been on voluntary leave) but wouldn’t say if they paid him ( X). Senator John Fetterman: Unsurprisingly, he was welcomed back. This is the personification of elite educational rot and antisemitism at the core of so many anti-Israel campus protests ( X).
