RECLAIM YOUR BLUE SPACES 🌊
For too long, water companies’ single-minded pursuit of profit has left many of our favourite swim spots undippable due to sewage discharges.
Dip A Day in October [[link removed]] is your chance to help put that right. We need to restore our wild waters so everyone can enjoy them safely.
YOU HAVE THE POWER 🙌
This year’s Dip A Day is fast approaching!
Not signed up yet? There’s still time.
The challenge? Take a daily dip throughout October, in any cold water that’s safe and accessible, to raise vital ocean-saving funds.
In the past, hardy dippers have done it everywhere from the Fens to the Welsh valleys, in the sea, rivers, reservoirs, lidos, back garden buckets and cold showers. From all four corners of the UK (and lots in the middle as well!) – cold water avoiders and avid swimmers alike.
Last year’s dippers raised an incredible £202,105. And had heaps of fun doing so.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
Every penny you raise will help us fight to transform the water industry. We have a range of ambitious campaigns and programmes we’re delivering to end sewage pollution.
To give you an example of just a few that your funds raised could support, we’re:
🌍 Influencing the government's new Water Bill to achieve long-term environmental improvement.
🙌 Working with communities to achieve Designated Bathing Spaces, providing legal obligations for water quality to be monitored and provided to the public.
🌊 Improving our Safer Seas & Rivers Service app to keep water users safer and more informed.
Dip A Day is an amazing way to get yourself into nature, get a buzz off cold water and spread some joy. It’s also funding the ocean-saving work needed to reclaim our wild waters from profiteering polluters.
Surely that’s an opportunity you don’t want to dip out of…
Dip A Day registration is open now.
Grab your friends and family and come on in!
