Chair's Corner

Aloha Fellow Republicans,

Today we celebrate Constitution Day and we are reminded of the incredible foundations our country was built upon, liberty, justice, and the power of the people to make change through their votes. Our Constitution is a symbol of the freedoms we hold dear and our responsibility to protect them.

Now more than ever, we need to stand united as proud Republicans and uphold our constitutional duty by voting. This year, let’s make sure our voices are heard loud and clear. Change will only happen if we rise up, step out of our comfort zones, and vote to restore sanity to our state and our nation.

I encourage all of you to start planning voting parties for when the ballots drop. Let’s gather our family, friends, and neighbors and celebrate the privilege we have to vote. Whether you’re organizing events to go to the polls in person or scheduling group gatherings to fill out ballots together, now is the time to plan.

While in person voting is our preferred method to ensure security, you can also check the Office of Elections state website (here)* for locations of ballot boxes if you choose to drop off your ballot. In addition, let’s organize neighborhood watches to keep a watchful eye on ballot boxes and ensure the integrity of this critical election. Our involvement in the voting process, from start to finish, is more important than ever.

Most importantly, we must not forget that our vote is our voice, and it’s time to stand up for the future of Hawaii and our country. It’s time to vote Republican for real change. Together, we can save our State and our Nation by electing leaders who stand for our values, our Constitution, and our freedom.

Let’s do our constitutional duty and rise to the challenge.
Mahalo and God Bless,

Tamara McKay

Refresh Knowledge and Memory

Reading our “Declaration of Independence” in exact
content accomplishes much.  The content  is what first
created US government in writing. Re-reading content
in portions can be better to appreciate our beginning.
As always, “He” indicates the King.

“He has affected to render the Military independent of
and superior to the Civil Power.
He has combined with others to subject us to a Jurisdiction
foreign to our Constitution, and unacknowledged by our Laws,
giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
For quartering large Bodies of Armed Troops among us:
For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from Punishment for
any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of
these States:
For cutting off our Trade with all Parts of the World:
For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
For depriving us, in many Cases, of the Benefits of Trial by Jury:
For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended Offences:
For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighboring
Province, establishing therein an arbitrary Government, and
enlarging its Boundaries, so as to render it at once an Example
and fit Instrument for introducing the same absolute Rule into
these Colonies:
For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws,
and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves
invested with Power to legislate for us in all Cases whatsoever.”
