John, lately I’ve been SO relieved that my kids can’t read.

To be clear, they’re infants – but they get bigger, brighter, and more curious every day. And right now, I have to be grateful that they can’t understand the kinds of headlines the NC GOP is generating.

• Mark Robinson is a hair’s breadth away from becoming governor of our entire state, but nearly every new quote we see from him requires bleeping or euphemisms.
• Michelle Morrow could be in charge of our schools, and she thinks it’s fine to spy on kids in the bathroom.
• Speaking of bathrooms, the GOP candidate for Attorney General, Dan Bishop, wrote the infamous anti-transgender “bathroom bill” himself that cost NC taxpayers billions.

Theirs is NOT a world I want to explain to my kids, let alone be forced to raise them in. North Carolina’s children deserve better. Hell, North Carolina’s grown-ups deserve better! We all deserve to be led by people we trust.

That’s why I’m fighting so hard to mobilize progressive voters in every corner of our state. If we come together, I know we can defeat the worst of the far right. But we have to do it together – and we have to do it now.
