Hello there,
The U.S. Census proportions the resources communities need to thrive by trying to take a count of every member of every community -- but it only works if we all do our part to respond. According to the Census Bureau, the data is used to allocate “$675 billion per year in federal funds spent on schools, hospitals, roads, public works and other vital programs.”
Which is why it’s so tragic that, according to NPR, “the 2020 census could lead to the worst undercount of black and Latino and Latina people in the U.S. since 1990.”
We want every American to be counted. Let us know now if you’ll take the Census to protect your community and make your voice heard.
