We did it, John!

Thanks to your support, we finished April having met our monthly fundraising goal! It was a close one, and every single contribution made a difference in helping us meet this mark.

As always, I can’t thank you enough for your support of our campaign to flip CA-08. Each day, I become more confident that the momentum is on our side and that we can win. I also wanted to take the opportunity to invite you to a special event happening tomorrow evening.

Tomorrow night, Jenji Kohan, the creator of the TV show “Orange is the New Black” will be joining me for a live Q&A and simulcast of the latest episode of her show. We’ll also be discussing issues like immigration and criminal justice reform.

You may not know this, but a lot of the research Jenji did for her show was at a detention center right here in our district. This should be a very engaging conversation and I hope you can join us.
