Moments ago, Senate Republicans blocked a bill to protect in vitro fertilization (IVF). The vote was 51 to 44, with every Republican senator voting NO except two. The bill needed 60 votes to pass.

This comes just a week after Donald Trump claimed during the presidential debate that he would protect IVF. As Elizabeth Warren discussed with Jen Psaki last night on MSNBC, his support doesn't seem to include calling Republican senators to get their votes for IVF.

Today's vote is a stark warning of what's to come if Republicans take control of the Senate in November.
