Remember Giving Tuesday? It has been re-imagined and rekindled this spring day to shine a critical light on the urgent needs as a result of COVID-19. As we head into this new giving opportunity, I want to thank you for being a member of the VOA family and to remind you of the power you have to change lives through supporting the important work we do.

This deadly pandemic may have disrupted all of our lives, but we are refusing to let it take our resilience and strength. With your help, we have the ability to carry on our lifesaving work in communities in need.

We have set an ambitious goal for donations in the month of May and we’re kicking it off this week with you, on the eve of “Giving Tuesday Now.”

When you make a gift to VOA today —it will go right to work for the homeless, hungry, and struggling families impacted by COVID-19.

The people VOA serves, people living “in the margin,” have been pushed even FURTHER back due to this pandemic—they are already the most vulnerable.

Our VOA teams are caring for 137,000+ people a day. The strict COVID-19 safety requirements have spiked our everyday costs, as well, the number of people seeking help has jumped drastically.

As a VOA supporter, you share our “whatever it takes” spirit, to care for people. Coronavirus will not conquer the love and the compassion that changes lives and protects the health and dignity of our low-income seniors, people experiencing homelessness, and people struggling with mental health and addiction issues.
