John,
I’m a proud U.S. Senator from the great State of Maine.
In just a matter of weeks, voters across the country will start casting their ballots. A short time after that, new Senators from across the country will be sworn in.
As I think about the type of colleagues I want to have—the type of leaders I want to work with, a few important qualities come to mind.
I want to work with leaders who are principled, ones who put people over politics, and ones who want to end the dysfunction that’s far too common in Washington.

When I look at Gov. Larry Hogan, he’s the leader I would be proud to work with in the Senate.

DONATE TO GOV. HOGAN’S CAMPAIGN
Gov. Hogan is a two-term governor who fights everyday to put people over politics.
He doesn’t play toxic partisan games—he does what’s best for the people he serves.
That’s why he’s a leader we could use in the Senate.
He’s not running for a title or because he wants a new job. He’s running for Senate because he cares about the people of his state and our country.
If we’re going to help him win this race, it’s going to require all of us stepping up to help him out.
He’s the financial underdog in Maryland, and he relies on people like you to step up with grassroots support—even if it’s just a few dollars at a time.

So I’m asking you today to join me in putting your support behind Gov. Hogan for Senate by chipping in whatever amount you can to his Senate campaign today.
Thank you,
Sen. Susan Collins

A Personal Message from Governor Larry Hogan:

Hi, it’s Governor Larry Hogan.
When I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate, I did so with a deep resolve to maintain the leadership style and principles that guided me during my eight years as governor.
Fifty years ago, my father, Maryland Congressman Larry Hogan Sr. made a tough decision. He became the first Republican to come out for the impeachment of President Nixon. He put aside party politics and his own personal considerations and stepped up to do the right thing for Maryland and the nation.
Today, Washington is completely broken because that kind of leadership and willingness to put country over party has become far too rare. But it’s not in my nature to sit back and watch the dysfunction continue without doing what I can to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
I’m under no illusion this will be an easy road. But I’m no stranger to uphill battles, and I know I can’t do it without your support.
I don't aspire to be a United States senator. I don’t need a title and I don’t need a job, but I’m more concerned than ever about the direction of the country and I have become more convinced that I can make a difference by taking the approach and style of leadership I had during my eight years as governor to Washington.
It’s no surprise this mindset has made me a target of the Washington partisans. Despite early polls showing a lead, I know I’m the underdog in this race. And that’s why your support TODAY is so crucial.

So if you can chip in a donation of $25 or more, it will go a long way in helping me continue building a strong campaign.
For eight years, we proved that the toxic politics that divide our nation didn’t need to divide our state, and we got results! Let’s get back to work again and send a message to Washington that will be heard loud and clear across the country!

Will you join me today and help end the dysfunction in Washington?
Thank you,
Larry Hogan
