Dear Friend,

Today is National Voter Registration Day, and I want to ask you to take a few moments to make sure your voice is heard through the power of your vote.

Voting is a fundamental right that transcends political affiliations, and it is crucial for the health of our democracy. Regardless of your political beliefs, your vote matters and your participation helps shape the future of our community, state, and nation.

Key actions you can take to ensure you are ready for upcoming elections:

1. Register to Vote: If you are not already registered to vote, or if you have recently moved or changed your name, now is the perfect time to register. It's a simple process that ensures your eligibility to participate in future elections. You can register at NMVote.org or at your local Supervisor of Elections website.

2. Check Your Registration Status: If you're unsure about your current voter registration status, it's easy to verify. Confirming your registration ensures that you will be able to cast your ballot when the time comes. You can check your registration status here.

3. Sign Up to Receive Vote-by-Mail (VBM) Ballots: For those who prefer the convenience of voting from home, signing up for a vote-by-mail ballot is the best choice. This option allows you to vote from the comfort of your own home and can be especially beneficial if you have scheduling conflicts on Election Day. Voting by mail is safe and convenient. You can request an absentee ballot here.

National Voter Registration Day reminds us that our democracy is at its strongest when everyone's voice is heard. It's a day when we come together to emphasize the importance of civic engagement, not as Democrats or Republicans, but as concerned citizens who care deeply about our community and our nation's future.

Thank you for your commitment to our democracy, and I look forward to seeing our community come together in the spirit of civic engagement on election day and beyond.

Sincerely,
