There’s no doubt that Moms for Liberty is going to do everything they possibly can to get bills like these on the books – so it’s up to us, with your support, to stop them. What they fail to understand is that SEL teaches our kids to embrace empathy and understanding. It teaches children to be kind to one another, to acknowledge how they feel and process their emotions in a healthy way. To be human.
But Moms for Liberty doesn’t care about kids’ development. Moms for Liberty only cares about spreading extremism in our schools, banning our books and singling out our students. And right now, they’re working to put candidates on school and library boards who’ll do just that.
That’s why we launched our 50 State School Board Strategy – a first-of-its-kind effort to recruit and elect diverse, young progressives to school and library boards across the country. It’s candidates like these who will fight for our kids and put books back on shelves.
