September 15 marks the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month, a month-long celebration dedicated to empowering, uplifting and recognizing the many contributions Hispanic and Latino Americans have made to our great nation. Our resilience, creativity and hard work continue to shape the fabric of our nation every day.

Our voices have always been part of the American story. From leadership in government, entertainment and business to contributions in health care, agriculture and other essential services, the Latino and Hispanic community make America stronger.

I’m proud to be Latina and I’m proud of my heritage and history! I look forward to celebrating and honoring the Latino voice with you all month long. And I’ll keep fighting for a better, more inclusive future for Latinos and for all Americans.
