Friends,

I want to thank you.

I could not be more proud of what we -- activists, organizers, and supporters like you -- have done to make this country a stronger and more inclusive place for all.

But right now, countless Coloradans are worried about their family's health and how they'll stay afloat as the economy remains unsteady. They're also incredibly frustrated by politicians who continue to ignore science and put the needs of corporations before hardworking people.

But no matter how frustrating things get, I will continue to put politics aside and do my best to deliver the results that you deserve. Recently, I helped pass a $484 billion bill to help battle coronavirus -- and I wanted to share some of the highlights on what it will do for our communities, small businesses, and hospitals:

-- Assistance for small businesses: $60 billion in aid will go through small banks, credit unions, and other community lenders to ensure the most vulnerable small businesses are prioritized.

-- Expand funding for testing: $25 billion will be provided for a desperately needed national COVID-19 testing strategy. As states begin to re-open, it's critical we have the testing capacity necessary to avoid a second outbreak.

-- Additional support for hospitals: $75 billion in additional aid will be provided for hospitals and health care providers to ensure they have the supplies they need to provide the quality care our communities deserve.

This bill is helpful -- but there's still so much more to do.

This is a critical moment in our nation's history, and how public servants respond now will shape this country for years to come. Transparency and accountability need to be hallmarks of our nation's response to this crisis and Congress' actions going forward.

We need to do everything in our power to ensure oversight of this federal funding -- and I'm so grateful you're by my side. Together, we can do this -- and I promise I'll always have your back.

Thank you,

Jason
