John – following up on the email from my team last week. We’ve just learned that our competitor has received a major fundraising boost. An independent expenditure – a campaign committee that can accept donations of any size – has been formed specifically to support the opposing campaign and target us with attack ads. I’m going to be honest: learning this so close to the election concerns us. With just 48 days to go (less than a month until ballots arrive in the mail!), we can’t lose ground.
I promise whatever amount you’re able to contribute makes a major difference in our race. It also just means a lot to our entire team that you believe in our fight for a safer and more affordable California. We know all too well that nothing is settled until all the ballots are counted on November 5. That’s why we’re not taking anything for granted. Thank you so much for all your ongoing support.
