Dear John,
Happy National Voter Registration Day! Let’s celebrate our democracy today by making sure that you’re geared up to vote. The first step is making sure you are registered to vote or that your registration is up to date by October 15th so you’re set to receive your ballot. You can do so here.
The next step is visiting our newly launched Voter Resources to help answer any voting questions you might have!
Are you new to Oregon and unfamiliar with our landmark vote-by-mail system? Did you know we have free postage when you mail your ballot back? Find the answers to these questions and more on our website.
For Portland voters, there's even more info about all the changes in our city government and voting system. Portland ballots will look a little different this year, as they will include Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) for city elections for the first time. Our resources will help you prepare and know what to expect, and even participate in a RCV mock election.
You can use our Voter Resources to learn about:
- What RCV is and how it works for City of Portland elections
- Participate in our mock RCV election
- How voting in Oregon works
- How to check your voter registration and/or register to vote
- And find more additional resources for voting information!
We hope that our Voter Resources answer all your voting questions but if not, we are here to answer any further questions!
Sincerely,
Britney VanCitters
