Join us on 9/23 at 10am outside the Wilson building to rally for DC Circulator workers!

Dear Friend,

As we all know, the DC Circulator is set to close its bus doors and cut services for good by 2025. This plan, set forth by the Mayor, has so far failed to address what will happen to all the workers, facilities, and routes that make up the Circulator. Make no mistake, Mayor Bowser and the DC Department of Transportation have the power to save jobs and protect routes, but they still have refused to act.

Join ATU 689 next Monday 9/23 to call for the passing of emergency legislation that initiates the transfer of Circulator over to WMATA. This plan, reminiscent of the 1973 takeover of DC Transit by WMATA, would ensure that services continue to run and workers’ livelihoods remain intact. Click here to RSVP for the ATU 689 Rally for DC Circulator Workers & Riders on Monday, September 23rd at 10am outside the Wilson building.

Another important way to support Circulator workers is to send a letter to the Mayor and DDOT calling on them to transfer Circulator workers, routes, and facilities to WMATA.

Together we can remind DC that workers come first.

See you next Monday at the Wilson building!

In solidarity,

Eduarda Serafim
