Take our short survey

Hi friend,
Did you see my email?
We’re planning how to respond to the massive explosion in personal debt levels that we’re seeing across the UK. Over 10 million people are now weighed down by unmanageable debt.
We need our new government to take action, but what do you think the priority should be? Writing off energy debt, dealing with credit card bills or something else?
Have your say on what our next campaign should be by filling in our short survey.

Hi friend,
We’ve got a new government but the same old problems.
Here in the UK personal debt levels are at their highest level ever, as a direct result of the cost of living crisis and after years of low pay and cuts to universal credit. 10 million people are now weighed down by unmanageable debt.
In the words of one of our local debt campaigners:
** “Debt destroys lives”
------------------------------------------------------------
But a new government is an opportunity to push for some real change that could have an impact on millions of lives. So, we want to know what you think the priority should be for our campaigns.

Right now, the government is working out what they should focus on.
Debt levels have shot up by nearly a third over the past five years, credit card bills, energy debt, council tax and rent debt, it all adds up to an economy that forces people into debt just to pay for daily necessities.
It’s not fair, and it’s not right and that’s why we have to make sure that this Labour government takes action to help people get out of debt and stop it building up in the first place.
So where do you think we should start? By stopping the daily intimidation from bailiffs that millions in debt face? Demanding more support for people in debt, or something else?
This short survey will only take two minutes and you’ll be helping to shape our campaigns for the next year.
Tell us what you think ([link removed])
These are big problems but by coming together to campaign for change we know we are powerful.
Over the past year we’ve had some big wins, from banning bailiffs in parts of Manchester, to getting more support for people to have debts written off in the last government budget.
We’ll be launching our new campaign soon, and we want you to help shape it.
Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us what you think.
