John, is there anything we can say that will make you act now and call Gov. Mike Parson at 417-373-3400 to urge him to stop the execution of Marcellus Williams on Sept. 24?
What if we told you Marcellus, an innocent man, has spent over two decades on Missouri’s death row for a crime he didn’t commit?
What if we told you the office of Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell conceded that constitutional errors contributed to Marcellus’ unreliable murder conviction and death sentence and that it would be unconscionable to allow his execution?
And what if we told you that despite all of this, Circuit Judge Bruce Hilton denied the motion to vacate Marcellus’ conviction and death sentence? Marcellus is still scheduled for execution on Sept. 24.
John, the fate of Marcellus’ life lies in the hands of Gov. Parson. It’s on us to make our voices heard and push Gov. Parson to do the right thing and grant Marcellus clemency. Right now, he’s the only person who has the power to stop Marcellus from being executed.
John, please call Gov. Parson now at 417-373-3400:
