Dear Friend,

When I first ran to serve as Colorado’s Attorney General, I said I would visit all 64 counties of our state.

Over the last seven years, I have enjoyed and benefited from this tradition. I’ve visited every county — most multiple times. And I have already visited all 64 counties again during my second term as AG.

It’s important to me to show up. I learn a lot and want the people of Colorado to know I’m committed to serving them. Like when residents in Pagosa Springs lost access to propane to warm their homes in the winter - they knew my office would be there for them, ready to take action.

On every visit, I meet community leaders. We exchange perspectives and ideas. I listen, and always learn something.

For example, my visits with school leaders across the state – recently in Durango – helped me understand how to better respond to the teen mental health crisis, like supporting a teen peer counseling initiative.

Our engagement and visits around Colorado honor my belief and commitment - our democracy is a team sport.
