Support refugees now
It's 7:30 AM in Jordan and Dr. Hazem Ali Nusairat has just left his home to begin a 90-minute journey to his work at the IRC Health Clinic in the Zaatari refugee camp.
Today, he'll see around 30 patients – all Syrian refugees, many living with chronic conditions – and continue his work on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis.
When he arrives home tonight, he'll have to isolate from his wife who is nine months pregnant and is due to give birth any day now.
"I can't hug her or talk to her face-to-face as we must keep a safe distance between us. It’s hard—but at the end it’s worth it because through my work I’m able to help many people."
Dr. Hazem's work, and the work of every IRC health worker on the front lines, is life-saving, John. They are helping mothers, children and families already living in crisis overcome yet another huge challenge in COVID-19.
This double crisis makes your support more important than ever, John. With a gift of $45, you could help us send a coronavirus hygiene kit to a mother and child in need and provide other life-saving support to refugees worldwide. Kits include toothbrushes, toothpaste, diapers for babies, and bars of soap which can help protect refugee families from contracting COVID-19. Give now »
Support Refugees Now
During this ongoing pandemic, coronavirus hygiene kits are transformational. They include essentials that aren't easily accessible to mothers and families living in Syria, South Sudan and other crisis zones. They give displaced families – who fled conflict with nothing – the support they need to begin recovery and build a healthier future. They help keep us all safe because during a pandemic we are only as strong as our most vulnerable communities.

Because social distancing isn't possible in overcrowded refugee camps, we must equip refugees with the hygiene essentials to protect their families from an outbreak.
Please rush a coronavirus hygiene kit and essential support to a refugee in crisis today.
