7 Reasons to make 2X the impact for WORLD ALZHEIMER'S DAY
4. EDUCATION & AWARENESS
Dear Friend,

Early detection. New treatments. Support groups. Healthy habits to promote brain health. There are so many ways we can lower the risk of cognitive decline and possible Alzheimer's and dementia for ourselves and those we love. But if we don't know about them, they can't help.

Education and awareness are critical to our fight. And it's one more reason why your gift today is so important.

That is why I'm urging you today to step up your commitment with a gift during our World Alzheimer's Day 2X Match Challenge — while your gift can still go 2X as far in the fight to end Alzheimer's. If we are to spread the word about our fight, make sure everyone living with this disease today knows they can turn to us for care and support and drive research toward a cure, we need you right now.

World Alzheimer's Day is just a few short days away. When that day arrives, this opportunity to make a gift that goes twice as far to help provide care and support and accelerate research will end. Please give today.

This devastating disease is a global public health crisis that grows more dire every day. But how many people truly understand how drastically it impacts our families, our communities, our nation?

Nearly 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's. By 2060, this number is projected to reach 13.8 million.
In 2024, Alzheimer's and other dementias will cost the nation $360 billion. By 2050, these costs could rise to nearly $1 trillion.
In 2023, more than 11 million unpaid caregivers provided an estimated 18.4 billion hours of care valued at $346.6 billion.

If we are to end this devastating disease, we must raise awareness. We must make Alzheimer's disease and the millions of people it impacts a national priority.

Today, you have an incredible chance to do exactly that by making a gift that goes twice as far, thanks to a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous. They have pledged to match all gifts — up to $175,000 — until midnight on September 21, but only if we can raise the same amount. Their gift will support Alzheimer's research and local chapter events, while your first gift can go 2X as far to help provide care and support, as well as advance vital research.

There are just days left to make the most of this opportunity. We simply can't do it without you, so I'm turning to you with this urgent request. Please join us with your first gift now to help us secure 2X the funding, so that we can do 2X as much to help the millions of people who count on us for help and hope every day.

Don't wait to make a gift that can have double the impact.
Your impact can be doubled.

Please act now. Your gift during our World Alzheimer's Day 2X Match Challenge can make 2X the difference on furthering our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

We are in a fight against a relentless disease. It is stealing the independence, control, time and, ultimately, lives of more loved ones every day. Education and awareness can change that. But we need your help. Please give now. Thank you.

With deep appreciation,
Katie Evans
