As the pandemic has continued, so has our communication with those who are on the frontlines. Law enforcement has told us traffickers are pushing harder than ever for profits, violence against trafficked persons is on the rise from buyers and pimps alike, and kids are more at risk of being recruited. Survivors are facing triggers and dangers as they face unemployment, lack of childcare or support, and are forced to shelter in place.
Join us May 6 as we talk to those who provide housing for survivors of domestic minor sex trafficking, and those who know the vulnerabilities of youth now in COVID-19, and who are seeing them vulnerable like never before.
We are responding by inviting members of the community to join us for this second in a series of Discussion Forums to share challenges and solutions as new responses are developed to support our communities during these unprecedented times. We invite you to join us for this conversation-style webinar with panelists from different areas of expertise including, but not limited to Survivor Leaders, Service Providers and Housing Coordinators.
Our staff hosts will facilitate the discussion, as our panelists, Yvonne, Natasha Nascimento, and Daniel Frederick, not only lead with information, but also participate in conversation with attendees that have questions and solutions of their own to share.
Join us for this On-the-Ground look at the Impact of COVID-19. Our scheduled panelists are coming to us from these areas of involvement. We hope you’ll join us.
