Donald Trump and JD Vance may have taken their anti-immigrant hate to new
levels lately — promoting baseless conspiracy theories, calling for mass
deportations, and more — but this playbook is nothing new.

MAGA Republicans have stoked anti-immigrant hate as a tool to divide and
degrade our politics for years. Trump first launched his 2016 campaign
with racist smears and never stopped spreading hatred.

But while MAGA may be content to do nothing but fearmonger, Pramila is
working hard to make real progress happen. [ [link removed] ]Will you sign on now to show

Here’s what humane immigration reform looks like:

* Ensuring all asylum seekers have their claims processed quickly and
fairly

* Providing a pathway to citizenship for the millions of undocumented
immigrants who already live here

* Protecting immigrant employees from abuse in the workplace

* Removing cruel and unnecessary barriers to accessing healthcare

…and more. And while Pramila’s been working to get these reforms passed
into law, she’s also been hard at work supporting immigrant communities in
other ways too.

In July, she called for the closure of private, for-profit immigration
detention centers. And just a few weeks ago, she announced $4 million in
DHS funding to support migrants here in King County.

But getting bigger reforms passed means electing more progressives to
Congress and making sure our leaders know it needs to be a priority.
