Hey John,
As a mom of two young kids, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to find common ground. Whether it’s settling arguments over snack time, or navigating endless “but why?” questions, we’re constantly trying to find the truth that keeps the peace and moves things forward.
That’s exactly what’s happening in our country right now — except instead of cookies, at stake is trillions of dollars and matters of war and peace. The divisions in our country have made it so hard to find that common ground, which is why No Labels is kicking off a brand new initiative: No Labels Groups. This is a discussion group designed to give our community of commonsense voters the chance to dive into the issues that matter most. Think of it like a book club where each month we’ll identify a subject – like the budget, immigration or health care – that you and your fellow No Labels citizens can explore. For every subject area, we will offer you the key facts and questions, possible solutions and resources for those of you who want to dive even deeper.
To get started, we need you to reach out to others in your community to form or join a group. If you have not already click here to learn more about starting your own group or how to join an existing group.
This month, we’re tackling the federal budgeting process, which is more timely than ever because Congress could be just weeks away from a government shutdown if members can’t agree on how to fund the government.
