Final 2020 Census Data Release
The Census Bureau will release the 2020 Census Supplemental Demographic and Housing Characteristics File (S-DHC) on Thursday, September 19. This is the final 2020 Census data product to be released.
The S-DHC provides average household size and counts of people living in certain types of households, and most of the tables are also available by race and Hispanic origin. The product supplements data about households and people published in the DHC in May 2023.
Data will be available for the nation, the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.Â

America Counts: Supplemental Poverty Measure Rose in 2023 for Second Consecutive Year [ [link removed] ]
The Supplemental Poverty Measure, which includes noncash government assistance, increased for the second consecutive year to 12.9% in 2023 from 12.4% in 2022, according to new Census Bureau data.

America Counts Older Adults and Child Poverty Rates Changed in Many States in 2023 [ [link removed] ]
Child poverty rates decreased in eight states and poverty rates for the 65 and older population increased in 10 states in 2023, according to new American Community Survey data.
