We’re excited to share the latest updates about our caucuses and committees! In August, Team Coalitions was proud to represent at the DNC Convention. From leading caucuses and committees to participating in the roll call—special thanks to Dr. Joeigh Perella—it was a monumental experience! In the beginning of August, our Latino Caucus and Progressive Caucus hosted an Affordability Panel featuring key New Jersey leaders in health care, housing, and education!
Our Older Adult Caucus held a virtual conversation with Congressman Frank Pallone, highlighting his advocacy for seniors. The discussion emphasized his efforts on issues such as health care transparency, prescription drugs, Social Security, and the growing problem of robocalls. Never has there been a more important time to be informed about what is happening in our Nation’s Capital that affects our seniors.
To wrap up the month, our Women’s Caucus celebrated Women’s Equality Day with a vibrant virtual event featuring Chair A’Dorian Murray-Thomas and Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill. The celebration was a powerful tribute to the progress and ongoing efforts toward gender equality, highlighting inspiring conversations and shared commitments to advancing women's rights.
A special shoutout to our South Asian American Caucus for their dedicated efforts in tabling at community events and festivals, working hard to increase South Asian engagement in this election.
