Here’s some details about AOC’s trusted colleague:
Lis Smith has been heading up a DNC
taskforce with the Orwellian name “Citizens To Save Our Republic”
charged with going to “war with third-party candidates” through
lawfare and fear-mongering against giving voters choices outside the
duopoly of war and Wall Street.
It’s fair to say that she was the
right choice for such a sinister role since she knows a thing or two
about dragging people through the mud to silence their voices – Lis
Smith was crucial to Andrew Cuomo’s unsuccessful attempt to silence
his sexual harassment victims!
As The Nation said in
their scathing August 2022 exposé: “Let’s Hear From the
Women Lis Smith Smeared”, she was ruthless in her attempts to
discredit the brave women who came forward with their stories of being
sexually harassed by the disgraced former Governor. In spite of her
best efforts, she couldn’t save Cuomo and he was forced to resign. But
Lis dusted herself off and kept ascending the dirty Dems’ ladder; as
the Nation aptly puts it, her inability to
save her former boss was ”... not the responsibility of an amoral operative who is neither
naive nor stupid, and who stuck with the Prince of Darkness for six
months straight through endless revelations.”
Lis Smith is a cutthroat political
“strategist” straight out of the Karl Rove, Frank Luntz era of
Republican operatives who were peddling the lies about weapons of mass
destruction used to sell the Iraq war. It makes sense since these days
Kamala is proudly touting her endorsements from the architect of the
Iraq war, Dick Cheney, and hundreds of right wing Republicans who are
on board with her chilling vision of presiding over “the most lethal
fighting force in the world.”
This is who AOC quotes. This is who
she’s aligned with politically. AOC is fine with being trotted out as
the smiling, "progressive" face of the party that’s been funding
Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people for nearly a full
year. She’s the one the DNC put on stage to parrot their lie about
“working tirelessly for a ceasefire” while simultaneously sending
another 20 billion to Israel to keep the carnage going.
