Dear Friend,
One day after Hurricane Francine, I flew back to Louisiana and conducted a joint helicopter assessment with the U.S. Coast Guard to evaluate how we can not only recover, but better our infrastructure after storms. Following Hurricane Ida, I secured the first $3.8 MILLION to partner with Together New Orleans to open the first community lighthouses, which give Louisianians a place to go when the lights turn off. I have been in communication with local, state, and federal partners as our communities recover. These are the types of steps we need to take to build a stronger Louisiana.
Sincerely,
Troy A. Carter, Sr. Member of Congress
