Tomorrow is National Voter Registration Day – it’s a day where we celebrate what it means to be a democracy, which is to make all of our voices heard by showing up at the polls. This year it falls just two days after the start of Latino Heritage Month.
Tomorrow also marks three weeks until October 7th, which is the voter registration deadline in several critical battleground states like Arizona, Florida, Texas, and Georgia.
Voto Latino has been working to register 500,000 new Latino voters by Election Day. So far we’ve registered over 112,000 new voters. That’s why our team is doing a massive push to get as many voters registered as possible in these final weeks.
When we make our voices heard by ensuring young Latinos are registered and mobilized to vote, it makes a huge difference. In 2020, the number of new voters we registered exceeded the Democratic margin of victory in swing states like Arizona and Georgia, helping us flip the White House and Senate blue.
With enough resources, we know we can replicate that success ahead of the November elections – but we depend on grassroots supporters like you to power our work. With hundreds of thousands of voters to reach, and only a few weeks left to make it happen, we need all the help we can get.
Can we count on you to pitch in?
