I’m still not over it: We passed 15 MAJOR climate bills in California during the August legislative session.

That’s a big deal -- and it’s a huge improvement from where we stood even just a few years ago.

This progress is in large part because we’ve worked hard to elect climate champions who introduce and enact common-sense climate initiatives, like the ones we just passed to pave the way for healthy, sustainable, and thriving communities across California.

We made two videos to highlight these historic pieces of legislation authored by elected officials across California who fought hard to get them all the way to the Governor’s desk. Will you join us by watching and sharing on social media?

We’re sending a resounding thank you to Assemblymembers Pellerin, Addis, Bryan, Hart, Bauer-Kahan, Friedman, Boerner, Garcia, and Papan -- as well as Senators Min, Wiener, Stern, Allen, Wahab, Smallwood Cuevas, and Gonzalez for putting forward these milestone climate bills.

And, of course, thanks to the climate leadership of Speaker of the Assembly Robert Rivas and Pro Tem of the Senate Mike McGuire for bringing home these victories.

The bills we’ve passed will change the climate future of California. They will bring real advancements in clean energy, hold oil companies accountable, and protect our wetlands and environment for decades to come.

And we’re still celebrating the historic $10 billion climate bond that will be on the ballot this November -- THANK YOU Senator Allen and Assemblymember Garcia for authoring the biggest climate win of the year.

Not every climate bill made it to the floor this year, but we’re still grateful to Assemblymembers Connolly, Kalra, Muratsuchi, Haney, Arambula, Zbur, Schiavo, Wicks, Jackson, Bennett, Bonta, and Reyes -- as well as Senators Durazo, Limon, and Menjivar for introducing bold legislation to protect Californians.

Help us spread the word about these achievements and the climate champions in Sacramento who really showed up to fight for Californians this year.

Thank you for everything -- we couldn’t have made these strides without you.
