Here in Maine, catching lobster is a way of life. For generations, we have been setting lobster traps and maintaining a healthy fishery.
But less than two years ago, new regulations threatened to put our lobstermen out of business. Then Jared Golden stood up to the political elites in Washington, and today we are still fishing thanks to Jared.
The truth is, fishermen in Maine have shown themselves to be excellent stewards of the environment and don’t need politicians in Washington telling them what to do.
