Sorry, friend, this isn't the email I wanted to send. But I needed to let you know that last night, we fell short of a critical fundraising goal. Here's why it has me worried:

1. If we lose, Democrats lose the Senate. Ohio is the only state considered a toss-up, so we must win here to defend our Senate majority.  

2. Polls show I'm losing ground to my MAGA opponent. This will likely be the closest race of my career.

3. Republicans outspent us by $7 million last week – so we need EVERY dollar possible to fight back.

I hate to ask again, friend, but to be honest – I can't do this without you. We need to close this fundraising gap ASAP, so I'm personally asking: Will you chip in $5? Every dollar will go directly to helping us win here in Ohio and keeping the Senate blue.
