Neighbors,
Over the past few months, we’ve seen workers in every major sector answer the call to help fight COVID-19. Whether that’s treating patients in hospitals, keeping shelves stocked at the store, or making sure mail gets delivered – workers across this country will help us see this through.
It’s shameful that it takes a pandemic to get some of our lawmakers in Washington to recognize the essential, back-breaking, and life saving work people around this country do every day. And it’s even more shameful that despite everything we’ve seen the past 5 weeks, some of our leaders are still unwilling to support our workers the same way they’re supporting us.
This is wrong. We’re in a crisis, and millions of Americans need help.
From day one, I’ve made a promise to help working people however I can – especially now when businesses are struggling, we’re facing record unemployment, and economic stress.
I invite you to read more about my commitment to working people in my recent Eagle Tribune piece »
Thank you for playing your part in flattening the curve – I hope to see you all soon when it’s safe to reconnect.
Stay well,
Lori
