First and foremost, I want to share my sincerest wishes of health and safety with you and your loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
I also want to share my deepest gratitude. Because of you and this incredible community, our teams were able to mobilize immediately to provide critical support to children facing the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic here in the United States and around the world. These lifesaving efforts simply wouldn’t be possible without you, and I can't thank you enough.
But the heartbreaking reality is that our work for the children affected by this crisis is only just beginning. That's why I'm personally writing to you today about #GivingTuesdayNow – a global day of giving and unity on May 5 as an emergency response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Even in these uncertain times, it fills me with so much hope to know that children can count on compassionate people like you to step up for them when it matters most. You stepped up when cyclones devastated Mozambique. You stepped up when a horrific wave of violence swept through Syria last year. And with you by our side now, we will make sure that as many children as possible still get the chance they deserve to grow up healthy, educated and safe – even in the face of this virus.
I know that the financial impacts of the pandemic have made this a tough time to spare a donation. But I also know how much you care about helping children – especially at a time like this.
