Friend, I want to thank you for all that you've done to support our movement.

This movement is needed now, more than ever. As the mayor of Holyoke, every day I see how this pandemic is affecting people in our community. People are losing their jobs, essential workers are not getting adequate protection, and so many feel like the federal government has completely failed them

I've mobilized our city's resources to help make up for the federal government's inadequate response. We're keeping some schools open to distribute food to families who need it, and we've provided hundreds of computers to students who lack them at home so they can engage in distance learning.

Still, there's so much more we need to do. We need Congress to take bold action on a people's bailout that will help struggling communities. We need to fight for a just and equitable recovery that will leave nobody behind. Sadly, too much of Congress's relief has been focused on bailing out corporations. This is exactly why I'm running for Congress, and why I've built a people-focused grassroots movement to get me there.

At a time when people are literally being forced to choose between their lives and their livelihoods, we need a movement that will fight for and protect the people, particularly working-class people.

Every action you take helps us grow this movement, and brings us one step closer to winning this race and being able to implement those big, bold solutions. So thank you for sharing our posts on social media, for volunteering your time, and for contributing to our campaign.

This month, we've supported our neighbors by phonebanking to share resources, we've gathered nomination petitions by mail, and we've grown our movement of supporters both in-district and nationwide.

You are proving that grassroots power can create real change.
