Kamala Can’t Escape the Center for American Progress (CAP)

The debunked "Project 2025" narrative continues to be emphasized by Democrats, but their connections to a similarly progressive organization are gaining attention. The Center for American Progress (CAP) holds significant influence as a think tank during the Biden administration, claiming credit for converting ten policy ideas into new laws and actions. 

Patrick Gaspard, CAP's president, has made more than 20 visits to the White House between December 2021 and January 2024, including five meetings with high-level Biden officials. Visitor logs show that CAP director Navin Nayak has visited the Biden White House at least 20 times. Ron Klain, Biden's former chief of staff, praised the work of CAP Action Fund with the Biden administration on his social media account. 

A number of former CAP employees, such as former president Neera Tanden, have taken up various positions in the Biden administration. According to a White House press release, Tanden was promoted to Assistant to the President and Domestic Policy Advisor in May 2023, succeeding Susan Rice.

And with all these CAP employees getting jobs in the Biden administration, you know they’ll continue with such appointments in the Harris administration, too.
