Y'all, we've got a lot to be proud of when we take a look at Texas' public schools and universities (MJ herself is a proud Longhorn!). But instead of standing by our students, Sen. Cornyn voted to confirm Betsy DeVos and enabled her efforts to steer resources away from our public schools.

That means increasing class sizes, resources stretched thin, teachers and students struggling. In many communities, kids don't have access to the schools Sen. Cornyn favors -- that's why we need a senator who understands the value of public schools and will ensure they don't go underfunded and ignored.
