Dear John, It was a busy week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting for our conservative values.
As your Representative, I am wholly committed to fighting for a leaner, more accountable government that serves you, not bureaucrats. That’s why I am proud to share that the Congressional Budget Office Data Sharing Act, which I co-sponsored, has just passed the Senate and is now on its way to the President's desk. This bill gives the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) more authority to access information from federal agencies, allowing for more accurate budget analysis. This will help expose wasteful spending and hold Washington bureaucrats accountable like never before. It's a step in the right direction of restoring transparency and better protecting your tax dollars from reckless government. Minnesota's own 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 194th Armor Regiment, based in Brainerd, has been honored with the Presidential Unit Citation—the U.S. military's highest unit award—for their heroic efforts during the Kabul evacuation. These brave men and women, alongside the U.S. Air Force and Marine Corps, put their lives on the line to ensure the safe evacuation of vulnerable American citizens and allied personnel. This recognition is a powerful reminder of the strength and bravery of Minnesota’s National Guard and I am immensely grateful for their service.
