September 15, 2024

Dear Georgian,

Last week was the 23rd anniversary of September 11, 2001, when thousands of innocent Americans lost their lives in the World Trade Center's Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and rural Pennsylvania.

We must never forget the innocent lives we lost that day or in the years since, the great sacrifices that have been made, and what it means for the United States of America and the rest of the world.

As always, my staff and I are here to help. If you need assistance with a federal agency or have comments or concerns to share with me, please do not hesitate to call my Warner Robins, Tifton, or Washington, D.C. offices. To receive frequent updates, I encourage you to visit my website, like my Facebook page, follow me on YouTube, and follow me on X.

Keep reading for the full update.

Sincerely,

Advocating for Federal Assistance to Aid Recovery from Hurricane Debby

Hurricane Debby caused severe damage across our state that warrants federal disaster assistance. I joined the Georgia Delegation in sending a bipartisan letter to President Joe Biden expressing support for Governor Kemp's request for a major disaster declaration for many of our counties.

My colleagues and I will continue to work together to get the assistance our state needs to recover from this disaster.

It was an honor to meet with members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) National Legislative Committee this week to discuss their priorities.

I am proud to represent our nation's veterans through my work in the House Armed Services Committee, and I look forward to continuing our efforts to provide the best possible care and support for them.
