We can’t celebrate for too long.
Sarah won a resounding victory on Tuesday to secure the Democratic nomination for Delaware’s open seat in Congress — but we can’t afford to celebrate for too long because our campaign is at a severe disadvantage. Let me explain:
Unlike other campaigns, which have months to build their general election campaigns, our primary election was one of the latest in the country. That means we’re starting from scratch to build a campaign that can win in November, and we have fewer than 8 weeks left to do it.
That’s why we need all of Sarah’s supporters to dig deep and pitch in today. Can Sarah count on you?
While it’s true that a dollar goes a long way in Delaware, we are facing another hurdle: TV advertising. To reach undecided voters, we have to reserve airtime in the crowded Philadelphia media market — one of the most expensive in the country!
TV ads are one of our largest expenses, and if we don’t secure our spots soon, there won’t be any spaces left to air Sarah’s ads!
And to make things even more urgent, we’re quickly approaching our final end-of-quarter deadline on September 30. Our opponent, the media, and the fringe right will sift through our numbers to decide whether they’ll pour in money to defeat Sarah in the final weeks of this race.
So, we set a goal to raise $18,000 in email donations by midnight tonight.
Your contribution will help us reserve critical TV ads and build a campaign that can win in November. Can you pitch in $5 or anything you can spare today?

This isn’t just about meeting a fundraising goal. It’s about making sure Sarah’s message about issues we care about — from affordable health care and housing to paid family and medical leave — reaches every voter in Delaware.
Thank you for standing with us!
