Williams Weekly
Small Business Committee Markup
This week I led a markup discussing 7 bills that highlight our nation’s small businesses and the burdensome regulations imposed on them by this administration. Under Biden-Harris, Main Street America has been crippled by over $1.68 trillion in costs imposed by new regulations. We cannot afford more red tape. We must cut these burdensome regulations so small businesses can continue to fuel our nation’s economy. Watch my opening statement here.
Financial Services Committee Hearing
U.S. financial regulators have been increasingly partisan in their regulatory agenda, often losing sight of their core duties and focusing instead on issues like climate change. This week the Committee on Financial Services led a hearing investigating transparency in global governance. Watch my line of questioning here.
Fighting Against the Phony EV Market
Electric vehicles are inefficient, expensive, and unreliable. For the last four years, the Biden-Harris administration has pushed this phony market, forcing these cars and costly new green deal regulations onto the American people and furthering their America-last agenda. I spoke on the House floor in support of H.R. 7980 to prevent China from receiving tax credits funded by American taxpayers. Watch my floor speech here.
Congressional Pastors’ Briefing
It was an honor to speak at the Wallbuilders Congressional Pastors’ Briefing in D.C. We are facing an important time in our nation’s history, and now more than ever it is crucial that we fight for the future of our nation. May God bless the United States of America!
America’s Credit Unions’ Congressional Caucus
It’s no secret that regulators are putting credit unions at a disadvantage. One-size-fits-all mandates do not work. Less access to capital, and additional compliance time and costs lessening the ability to lend is a recipe for disaster. We must let consumers decide, and allow the free market to work.
Texas Bankers Association
I met with the leaders of the Texas Bankers Association to discuss the impacts of this administration’s over-regulations. The ongoing attack on small businesses across America is resulting in billions of dollars lost to compliance costs. As the voice for Main Street in Washington, I am working to implement pro-business policies to cut regulations and provide opportunities to compete and thrive.
Parker County Mayor’s Breakfast
I met with leaders in Parker County to answer questions and provide an update on my work in Washington fighting to secure our border and restore a thriving economy. I will always stand for the values of TX-25 and serve as a voice for Main Street.
In Case You Missed It!
This week I joined Newsmax on Chris Salcedo and American Agenda, WBAP, and Mark Davis to discuss the top issues facing our nation. From affordability and overregulation to national security, we are in the fight for the future of our nation. Click the links to listen.
