🎉  New Candidate Endorsement: Ann Johnson Stewart

Earlier this month, we added a new candidate to our 2024 endorsement slate: Ann Johnson Stewart.

Ann Johnson Stewart was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2020 with Sister District’s support. In 2022, the Senate districts were redrawn, and Ann decided not to seek reelection. Now, with Senate District 45 up for a special election on November 5, Ann is back!

This special election is the ONLY Minnesota Senate seat up for grabs this year— it is a must-win to maintain the Democratic majority in this chamber.

💪 Defend Minnesota’s blue trifecta and elect this brilliant legislator today!

💡 Team Spotlight:

SD Yolo hosted a fabulous garden party for Georgia candidate Jasmine Clark. The event raised over $15,000 in early dollars and was one of Yolo’s most successful events to date!

The DC Metro Area Team recently partnered with folks from Diversity Matters and the Women’s National Democratic Club to host North Carolina candidate Woodson Bradley and Pennsylvania candidate Anna Thomas for an incredible fundraiser that brought in over $13,000!

💡 Organizing Update:

Since launching our National Phonebanks this year, Sister District volunteers have contributed to:

  • 658 local volunteers recruited!
  • 3,608 undecided voters found!
  • 180,958 total dials made!

And we're not done yet — with fewer than 60 days left until November 5, we’re rolling up our sleeves, pulling up our boots, and getting into the thick of it.

🛠️ Showcasing the Downballot Voter Toolkit

This week, we showcased our brand-new Downballot Voter Toolkit!

Many Democrats “roll off” their ballots after voting at the top of the ticket, and we lose voters who could make a difference in vital state legislative races and other down-ballot contests.

In our new toolkit, we share key findings, tested messaging, downloadable content, and examples of effective ads that you can use to highlight the critical issues state legislatures decide and encourage voters to support down-ballot Democratic candidates.

The Downballot Voter Toolkit is your go-to guide to encourage and empower your friends, family, and personal network to make sure they vote all the way down the ballot! Click here to check it out.
